So exactly how do I play Strife?

Well, it's pretty simple actually. Below is a sparse 4-step outline on how to play Strife. It covers the basic premise of the game, but there is much more to be uncovered as you play. After you have successfully registered a VG account, log onto your account and proceed as follows..

1) Home page


Welcome to your base of operations. This is where you will access all your teams from now on. As a new player you will not have any teams under your control.

2) Creating your first team


Enter the desired name for your new team. Click the yellow "randomize" button until you've settled upon a starting roster you like. Once you are ready, click the green "fight" button.

3) Experiencing your first battle, and taking command of your team


Congratulations, you've just witnessed your battle! It may not seem too complex now, but as you advance up the levels you will learn all the aspects of the game, such as..
- Which race is the best for me?
- What units make the best team?
- Where should I spend my credits for upgrades?

From the battle page, you can now proceed to access your team's profile, manage your team, or fight other teams on the battlefield.

4a) Your team's profile


This page is what everyone can see. It holds information on your team, such as synergy/recovery ratings, victories, recruits, units, and actions.

4b) Managing your team


Team management includes swapping in and out units on the roster, and upgrading each unit individually. This is where careful decision making takes place. Spend your credits wisely.

4c) Take your team to the battlefield


If you think your team is ready to fight again, go to the battlefield and find another team to take on. Choosing who to target is only half the battle, but the most crucial one.
