After running 25 seasons of Vile Gaming Tour, and many of you participating in at least a few of them, we all know the drill by now. Let's continue to the legacy that VGT holds; let's make this another great performing season. For at least 3 seasons in a row now we've hit around 25,000 matches played each. I'm confident that we'll meet that quota again this season, but I would no doubt love to see a significant improvement so that VGT can continue to spread it's reach and history.
The prizes for VGT26 are the usual respected flag for the top 5 of the 1v1 and 2v2 solo ladders of both sections of VGT (BW & SC). However, instead of the typical 1 month's worth of premium membership for each of the winners. They will now receive 5 months (valued at $25). With Imperium set to launch its first beta, and Strife about to experience a major update, I guarantee that the premium flag will be much more sought after.
On another note, we recommend that many of you itching to get your hands on StarCraft II to start playing in VAL this season (9) so you can slowly learn the ropes of normal maps and your transition from SC to SC2 will be as smooth as possible. The official public release of SC2 is just on the horizon and we are all feeling the heat, so I hope you, if you're planning to play SC2 at all, take what time is remaining until then to catch up with the rest of the competitive crowd in the non-money map scene.
