We're back! Sorry for making you all wait so long. I know it must've been a bleak and boring time this past week while waiting for VGT to start again, but, as always, we deliver what the people want. Here is another season of the #1 fastest map league. Here is season 25 of Vile Gaming Tour! The season has officially started at midnight, and will end on February 23rd at 11:59pm. That's a good 6 weeks of competition for you all. Make it a good season for yourselves. Kick the year off with a bang! Let's see if we can continue to break our own records, shall we? Last season, 24, saw just under 30,000 league matches played, but of course that was with a 7 week season. I'm confident that you all will do your best to try and top that number, despite the 1 week handicap.

As per usual Spartan[nK] behavior I will continue to amaze you all with unexpected features. I have quite a few ideas up my sleeve that I'm sure many of you would've never even thought of. So don't count me out of ideas just yet! Clan war league anyone?

While I have your attention, I'll remind some of you again of some of the more important changes that were made for this season of VGT. And they are..

- Partners in a 2v2/3v3 match will not show up for reporting a match won if they haven't logged in within the last 24 hours.

- Matches can no longer be stacked (reference).

- New league rank "K" for players higher than 4300 points. The threshold for this rank, to avoid decay, is playing 10 matches every 3 days.

- Surges will only count for matches played within 1 tier of the opponent.

- Milestones do not occur for players ranked K.

The prizes this season are smaller, but only because the cash is being put elsewhere towards the site. The cash is being put to better use towards the advancement of VG in general. So I hope you all can accept this small sacrifice of no cash prize this one season for the sake of the community. I assure you the cash prizes will return, and may be even bigger, next season. With that said, the prize pool will revert back slightly to what it was in the old days. The top 5 of each ladder will get their due respected flag and 2 months worth of premium membership.

Prizes aside, let the competition begin! I hope to we get to see new faces fight for the top spots on the standings this season. Good luck and have fun to all of you! Thank you to all that are participating this season. My gratitude for your activity knows no bounds. You are what keep this community alive so keep doing what you do best: having fun playing the game you love.. StarCraft!
